Enerfoil Underfloor Heating System

Enerfoil underfloor heating product

Enerfoil underfloor heating is a low voltage electric underfloor heating system. Enerfoil is ideal for smaller areas such as Bathrooms and utility rooms, it can be laid directly beneath tiles, stone, marble and slate.

  • Simple to Install
  • Maintenance free heating
  • Only 0.2mm thick - no raising of floor levels
  • Economical to run - 80 watts per mē at 24 volts or 110 watts per mē at 28 volts
  • 100% low voltage - through low voltage transformer
  • Can be installed directly onto wood or concrete (as long as it's smooth and flat)
  • Can be used under various floor finishes - Tile, Stone, Marble and Slate.
  • Can be used in wet areas with a tanking system - e.g. BAL WP1

The Enerfoil low voltage underfloor heating system has been designed to operate at low voltage (24v/28v).

The use of a low voltage supply for the system eliminates the potential hazard associated with using a full mains voltage system in wet or hard traffic areas.

The system is designed to raise the temperature of the flooring material by generating a steady even heat at the rate of approximately 80 watts per square metre to increase the comfort level where unheated flooring would be undesirable.

Enerfoil underfloor heating systems are suitable for installation in either dry areas such as utility rooms and kitchens or wet areas such as bathrooms in both domestic and commercial applications such as Hotels and Hospitals.

Under normal conditions the Enerfoil electric low voltage underfloor heating system will maintain a floor finish at a comfortable temperature. The actual temperature maintained will vary according to the ambient temperature, floor insulation, floor covering and the selected voltage.

The Enerfoil underfloor heating system comprises of a number of manufactured panels, sizes include widths of 250mm, 300mm, 400mm and 600mm, and lengths depending on the width come in continuous lengths of 0.3m to 4.0m, and these can be used in different configurations to get the best possible floor coverage. A low voltage AC current, supplied via a transformer powers the heating panels. 24v AC or 28v AC can be selected to provide optimum heating for the installation and ambient conditions involved. The size of the transformer is determined by the number of panels used in the installation.

Panels should only be connected to the low voltage side of a suitably rated transformer. The Enerfoil Underfloor heating panels are manufactured under strict quality control conditions. It is important that no attempts are made to modify the panels in any way and that they are laid flat on the floor with no irregularities. Under no circumstances should the panels be cut.

The Enerfoil underfloor heating system has been proven to be capable of providing trouble free use if it is installed correctly. The Enerfoil underfloor heating system is designed for ease of installation and safe, economical operation. The Installation of the system however requires electrical checks and connections to be made. This work should only be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician.

Following the instructions contained in the installation leaflet will ensure the reliable and effective operation of your Enerfoil Underfloor Heating System.

  • Maintenance free efficient heating
  • No Electro magnetic field
  • For concrete floors under tiles
  • For timber floors - can not go directly onto timber, must go on to cement finished board (compatible with underfloor heating such as Wedi board or Knauf Aquapanel, or a prepared floor.

Electrical floor heating mats can be installed on concrete & prepared timber bases**, directly in flexible tile adhesive.

Floor heating is the most comfortable way of heating. Because of the equable radiation of heat from the entire floor surface, a very nice and equal heat radiation is created. Floor temperature will reach a pleasant and comfortable level, with the same temperature from the floor to the ceiling.

No more cold feet and hot head No more differences in temperatures in the body! No more cold draft on the floor! Experience total freedom in your interior because there are no radiators on the wall!

Enermat is a unique floor-heating mat. It can be installed directly on top of an existing tile floor, or directly on concrete bases. The heating cable on the glass fibre mat is only 3.5 mm in thickness, and can be installed directly in the flexible tile adhesive.

The mat is placed directly under the surface. Because of this the heat reaction time is increased. This makes the system suitable for areas which are not occupied the entire day.

Enermat electrical floor heating has more advantages in comparison to more conventional water based floor-heating systems:

  • Very easy to install
  • No water; no risk of water leakage!
  • No break and cutter work necessary
  • To be installed directly into tile glue
  • Suitable as main* or auxiliary heating source
  • Every room has its own thermostat

  • Extremely efficient and energy-conscious
  • No maintenance costs

*Main heating is not possible in all situations.
